All Survey Spain’s Registered Valuers are required by RICS ‘Red Book’ Regulations to take account of the energy rating of a property in their valuations, with the values of poorer Grade homes being downgraded. So improvements such as double glazing, changing from oil or gas heating to air-to-air or air-to-water electric heat pumps, etc will become more essential and need to be budgeted for by home buyers and existing home owners.
