Staff at Survey Spain are set to pop champagne corks for the company’s ten-year anniversary. The Costa del Sol’s leading company of chartered surveyors, now with a network of 12 British born and trained, English and Spanish-speaking professionals, has successfully helped thousands of clients during their decade in business.
The multi award winning company is regulated by RICS (The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) in London and Brussels, and primarily deals with market valuations and building surveys of Spanish properties. The company surveyors carry out valuations for UK courts involved with divorce, inheritance and tax disputes, international banks, worldwide finance houses and assists several UK Government departments. The building surveys are principally for buyers from all over the world, looking for reassurance that they know the condition of the property they intend to buy in Spain. Working closely with their clients, Survey Spain prides itself on putting the customer first, with all reports and valuations reviewed by a second RICS surveyor.
Founded by Scotsman Campbell D. Ferguson in 2003, the Estepona based firm has gone from strength to strength over the years and now works with associates in the network based all round Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar and the Balearic and Canary Islands. All work is reviewed in Estepona prior to being sent to the client, thus ensuring consistent quality and service.
Campbell, who first started working in Madrid in 1989, explained that the company can act as expert witness valuers for the English, Welsh, Scottish and Irish courts in connection with divorce, inheritance and all other disputes relating to Spanish property. He added: “We also act for the British Government, valuing properties in Spain owned by people under investigation. Our private and company clients are principally nationals from the UK, Ireland, the Nordic countries, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France. Russia, the Middle East and China are also raising enquiries. In addition and increasingly as the market improves, we are also carrying out building surveys, structural surveys and new property snagging for residential, commercial and leisure buildings and land throughout Spain.
